Why You Aren’t Happy (and How to Change)

How do you view your life? Are you discouraged? Do you have regrets? Does it feel like a struggle to enjoy the present when the past looms and the future doomed? If I’m describing you, what I am about to write may be hard to swallow.

It is hard to enjoy your life when you don’t enjoy life.

You may think this to be some type of philosophical psycho-babble, but the statement reveals a powerful truth. When you learn to enjoy and be grateful for what you have been blessed with instead of longing for what you don’t have or can’t control, you become a much happier and healthier person.

Happiness is a byproduct that can’t be bought, but it can be cultivated.

When you focus on being happy, you‘ll always miss the mark. Instead, discipline yourself to find the good in each and every moment you’ve been given. It’s all about perspective. And that is something you can change right now.

Life is a gift. Cherish it, and it will cherish you back.

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires

Psalm 37:4
